6TH GRADE SPRING CONCERT

The final concert of the year for our beginning students is fast approaching.  We will perform a spring concert on Tuesday, May 5, at 7:00 PM in the Simpson theatre.  Students need to arrive at Simpson by 6:15 PM, and should wear nice clothes for the concert.

Please remember that all students are expected to attend this event.

DISNEY MEETING

Tuesday, April 21

7:00 PM
Simpson Theatre

All 8th grade Music Department parents who have children participating in the Disney field trip need to attend this meeting.  We will go over the trip itinerary, behavior expectations, packing lists, money envelopes, and do a "question and answer" session.  This will also be a great time to meet your child's chaperone.  Students do not need to attend this meeting.

All chaperones need to arrive by 6:00 PM for a very important chaperone meeting prior to the general meeting.  We will have a guest speaker, Mrs. Bieg, who was a Disney chaperone last year and will provide great insight for new chaperones.

Do Not Miss Out on Becoming One of the Best Communities for Music Education
Friday March 13 is the Deadline

Since 1998, the NAMM Foundation has been conducting the Best Communities for Music Education (BCME) Survey, a nationwide search for communities whose programs exemplify commitment to music education. The initiative recognizes and celebrates communities and their school administrators, teachers, board members, parents, community leaders and students for their support and commitment to their music education programs.  The program also acknowledges community and school district commitment to assure access to music education for all students.

Don’t miss out on taking the survey.
