Homework: Writing and Grammar Workbook pages 1-4.

Today we practiced proofreading sentences and making correction, then reviewed the parts of speech. Finally we read Chapter 12 in The Giver. 

We will begin quizzing for mastery of basic grammar skills.  Students will have multiple opportunities to retest with the goal being that all students make a 100%.  If at the end of an alloted time for each set of skills a student has still not obtained a 100%, he or she will receive the highest grade obtained.  Once a student acheives a 100%, he or she will be exempt from additional practice/quizzing until we begin a new set of skills.
