Gainesville College science olympiad
This has limited information, but maps and directins are available. There is a generic schedule as well.
There will be a quiz bowl while we wait for awards. This will be a four person team. It will not count toward our Olympiad standings, but will be a fun and rewarding experience. Please review the rules carefully, especially the blurb about outside interference! The topic will be the Periodic Table and Chemical History. It's a fun event and everyone can watch!
We will be working on placing a pentathalon team today. It will also require four contestants.
T - shirts are provided for 15 members. If you are attending and not competing and would like a shirt, the cost is $10.00 and I will need to know ASAP so we can order them.
Some items of interest from the Director:
Wright Stuff will be held in the Gym. The gym is approximately 110 ft x 90 ft with the height to the ceiling trusses about 20 ft. Please avoid entering or exiting the area during a flight.
I just confirmed with food service that they will be open on the 28th. They will open at 7:00 am. They have a menu of sandwiches (breakfast and lunch), hamburgers, fries, salads, fruit and assorted drinks.

Our regional competition will be at Ogelthorpe University on Saturday February 21st. In order to prepare our equipment for this, we will be having a packing party on Friday February 20th. Usually we have a pizza and packing party, but this year....
We are planning to attend the 3rd Annual Spaghetti dinner which begins at 6:30. This benefits the Impson Eagles Education FOundation. Tickets can be bought in advance by your child at school, and it's healthier than pizza! We would love for you to join your child, or at least come back and get them at some point!
Students.... Let me know if you are planning to attend!... We have a special costume planned...for spaghetti eating of course!
On a more serious note..... We are asking for input as to what you need! If it is another time to practice a particular event, morning computer time, after school building.... PLEASE let us know what we can do to assist you and your partners.
